Innovate for Europe: A Showcase of Solutions in Greentech, Health Tech, and Smart City Solutions

URBAN TECH was a 3-year project funded by European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101005301. Unicorn, being part of a consortium of 11 partners, supported the acceleration of competitive success of European SMEs and start-ups through market launch of new or significantly improved products and services with higher value in Health Tech, Smart City and Greentech industry sectors.
On the June 6, 2024, at the prestigious Hofburg Palace in Vienna, we celebrated the URBAN TECH final event, “Innovate for Europe – Greentech, Health Tech & Smart City Showdown„.The event was a part of the Impact Days 2024 festival during ViennaUP, a city-wide celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship. The event provided a unique platform for over 20 companies participating in the URBAN TECH program to meet with investors and pitch the groundbreaking solutions developed in response to challenges across the sectors of Greentech, HealthTech, and Smart City.

The winners of the pitching competition are:
• Greentech sector: IngeniousWare, who developed on a cloud-based platform designed to automate and enhance the management of water networks.
• Smart City sector: OwnersPartners, who developed QUICK: a smart charging station designed to support the integration of electric personal mobility vehicles (ePMV), such as e-bikes, into urban environments.
• HealthTech sector: Zana Technologies, who developed a digital patient companion designed for at-home rehabilitation in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
